Can`t complain too much about a free magazine i suppose but by the christ every time they mentioned a race they had to get the sponsors name in. I didn`t realise Seasons Holidays had sponsored the QM as far back as Flyingbolt winning it in `66.

Also, now i know why Jonjo seems to have his head up his arse most of the time. His partnership with wife Jacqui is in the same wtf category as Emma and Jamie Spencer. Woof woof.
 
It's part of the sponsorship palaver that races are retrospectively given the sponsor's title when written about in the context of the present race; a trifle annoying, but that's life.
 
And Diomed won the first Vodaphone Derby.

Lord Derby and Sir Charles Bunbury tossed a sim card to decide the race's name.
