Rant

I bet it was the second 'i', wasn't it? I see 'liasing' all the time and it's probably high on the list of spelling annoyances. On the other hand, at least it still looks more or less like what it's supposed to be, and apparently 90% of users don't know any different!

If I am not certain of a spelling, I think of another word which in this case would have been cooperate.
I was a bit foxed tuther day when I wanted to use the word marmalade and couldn't think of a suitable alternative so I just put ' Jam ' :P

'Conserve' is a posh word for marmalades and jams, if you ever need it, Lee! Although, "Darling, would you pass me the lime conserve, please?" at breakfast might get a raised eyebrow. :brows:

I hope you realise I was joking K

In my formative years, few words were spoken at the table, usually a pointed finger and a nod was all that was needed by the adults, we wains just kept stum and licked our plates :D

Painted? :o Ooooh, the loooxury of it all! Why, I had to pick up individual oats after the drays had finished their nosebags, if I wanted any breakfast.
