Ratings System June 2025

My previous ratings system started well but recently has started to hit the buffers, like so many of my previous systems.

Before it completely falls apart, in the past month I have noticed it was hardly ever that the top rated selection won, this was especially true in class 4 and class 5 races. With this in mind I thought I would add this as a filter.

Prices taken with BOG bookies, 2pts win 7/2 or less, 1pt ew 4/1 or more (3 places unless stated)

Did not get off to the best of starts yesterday. In my haste in order to begin this thread on June 1st, I forgot to back and post the winner of the Kilbeggan 4.52 race She's a fine wine, on the positive side at least the price 4/1 was not too damaging.

Today's Balance = -3.70pts

I have decided it's time for me to take a break. I may have just been lucky in May, I have had this happen before with these ratings. They work for a while, but then they don't for a while. I will play around with them on paper, and see if I can find a solution.
