Story in the Racing Post :
July Cup an option
for Raven's
Racing Post staff
RAVEN'S PASS could drop down to six furlongs for his next outing in the Darley July Cup.
The St James's Palace Stakes runner-up is also entered in the Prix Jean Prat at Chantilly, but his trainer John Gosden has revealed the Newmarket contest would be given serious consideration.
He told At The Races: "He has come out of the Ascot race fantastically well."
"I breezed him on Saturday morning and he was very relaxed over seven furlongs.
"He's in the Prix Jean Prat on July 13 over a mile and if the ground is on the top, that would be a likely target.
"But he's also in the July Cup and we will be discussing that with the owners as well,"
