A British old age pensioner is no less hard up than an illegal
immigrant/refugee yet receives nothing

You must be looking forward to welcoming a Scot invasion two years hence - unless we've put the barriers up on the M6 and A1. An activity I would like to see happen sooner rather than later given my absolute disgust with their 'independence' efforts.

I believe we can put barriers up because technically when the Scots gain independence they are not guaranteed Euro inclusion!

Just hope the Bank of England announce how much they will charge the Scots for use of the Pound, hopefully expensive enough to make them consider the euro.
