Has anyone noticed a reduction in spam they receive /
Up to a week ago I was receiving at least 40/50 per day and now only approx 6.

I haven't installed any filters or anything to reduce it and wonder if Microsoft have done anything that I am unaware of.

Certainly not complaining but it seems odd after being accustomed to the rubbish.

I've noticed some spam reappearing on the other board from someone who said they wouldn't be posting on TH again on more than one occasion.

Of these 5 sites, which ones would be classified as SPAM when put up in answer to someone who asked for information about.......

"I am trying to find possible sources who can provide me with horse racing data. I obtain the data from the racing post site and raceform but am tired of the long hours it takes for me to get some of the info i require such as trainer and jockey win %'s.

Does anyone know of a provider or source who will provide this information to me or whose software will make it quicker than clicking on the various links on the racing post site.

Many thanks. "

Just rang them Gareth and yes they have put a filter on and is because there is a very damaging virus called ' Kama Sutra' which is being spread via spam etc.

I dare say this will illicit plenty of puns on here but if the virus has initiated this filter action then for once it has done some good.

I am one of the minority Merlin who still runs Win98 but will be upgrading and am investing in an Applemac this year after I have relocated.

I get less than I used to but I presumed it was because I always deleted without opening so there was nothing in it for them.

Come to think of it, I haven't had any spam for 'up in twenty minutes' for a wee while. Jeez, if I thought I needed something to get me up in more than 20 seconds, I'd be worried.
