I've seen some better Arc undercards but interesting nonetheless.

I like Mayson in the Abbaye but will have a saver on Monsieur joe who looked good in the trial over C&D last time.

Purr Along is an obvious choice in the Boussac but also expect a better performance from My Special j's this time.

It's between What a name and Olympic Glory for me in the Lagardere but unsure which way to goat the moment (and do the Qatari's have to buy every horse in training?! When did they buy into Olympic Glory?!)

Haven't got to the other races yet - what are other peoples thoughts?

Flotilla doesn't have much ground to make up on her running with Peace Burg last time out yet one is 3/1 and the other is available at 33's - far too big for me and the ground should suit her down to the ground.

Already said on the Arc thread that I'm with Ballesteros at a big price in the Abbaye, 2/2 on heavy and 3/3 on soft/heavy. Work to do on the formbook and ratings but he's another who should be suited by the ground and there's generally not much between the decent handicappers (Ballesteros has won off 98 in the past) and our group horses in Europe.

Backed Rjwa in the L'Opera too - ran well in the two big 3yo fillies races in France at the trip in the spring and was totally unsuited by the drop back to 9f last time out in a listed race. Needs to step upa bit to figure but is another who could go well at a big price.

Good luck to all today - the best weekends racing of the year in Europe quality wise IMO.

its a bog then

marcel boussac should be run in something like 95.5 for middle Good ground..will have a guess its something like 106/107 seconds if the ground is similar to the sprint

1min 44.6 for the Boussac. Paying to be up with the pace.

Ian Bartlett is having a shocker. Mistook Wizz Kid for Govinda until within the last hundred yards or so, called Indian Jade second when What A Name had clearly got past. Get a grip, Barty.

He usually does.

I'm going to take on the market principals in this and have a feeling Manieree has been trained for this. Conditions should suit and if Mccullagh can get his fractions right from the front he could make all. I'm going to have a little saver on quiza quiza quiza who is overpriced considering she's been running well against colts.

I'm going to try and console my disappointment in Camelot's performance with an EW bet on Star Spangled Banner. 7/1 looks a reasonable price even on this going.

You'd have to think he'd been trained for this - he's never been a hold up horse in his life.
Win & place to cover the disappointment of Mayson.
