Interesting advert on page 9 of the RP today - for a sponsored Ride Of A Lifetime. Although the advert put up the website address for Brooke (Brooke Hospital) it doesn't have any details of the ride on there. The advert says :
What Are you Doing from 1st to 9th September 2006?
Why Not Join the Ride of a Lifetime?
- Ride beautiful horses
-Take in the stunning landscape of Kenya
- See first hand the vital work of the Brooke
- Registration fee of just £250
- Pledge to raise your sponsorship money
- All flights, food and accommodation included
The Brooke Ride of a Lifetime is a wonderful 170km horseback safari deep in the vast savannah expanse of Laikipia. This adventure will bring you face to face with zebras, gazelles and giraffes to name but a few. You will ride through savannah, past lakes, up hills and down alleys. The highlight of the evenr will be the chance to see the Brooke in Lari.
Join the Ride of a Lifetime and help us reach even more working horses and donkeys and the people who depend on them.
For an information pack, please call 020 7930 0210 or email info@brooke.org
Sounds intriguing - I would imagine it would be a fantastic experience, the sights and scenery must be amazing.
