Just reading this sad news over on the Betfair forum.

Seems he was presented with champagne by Rod Fab at Goodwood yesterday to congratulate him on getting a post with BBC. Seems he will be presenting all sorts.
Must have done a great job at the Cricket World Cup.

Someone suggested that there was a downside and that we would get Garth Crooks in part-ex!!! :P
 
Thank God for that! Well, at least no more of his daft interviews. I remember one where he told Ruby that the horse would be even better over 2 and 1/2 miles - and Ruby goes, "That was 2 and 1/2 miles". :laughing:

My other favourite Rishiism was "Whats your problem?!" after being dragged out of a winning-connections-and-horse picture by an irate photographer. shrug::
 
An irate photograper???? Shome mishtake, shurely??? (although there was a very irate one at Goodwood today!!!)
