Nicholls says in todays RP that he def runs Hawkes Point if he comes out of Exeters run this week OK . Stays forever

interesting race

godsmejudge will have no trouble with the trip and is in form

merry king should also have no difficulty with the trip and the trainer has a fair record in this race and also in staying chases at the festival in general

Tony Solomons (co-owner) is adamant Harry Topper won't go but the other partner is keen to go so they have agreed to leave it to the trainer who says would only consider it if the going was soft, heavy no good at this distance at his age and won't go anyway if good. Meanwhile they have an entry at Kelso on Saturday but will only take a decision literally at the last minute before the scheduled departure from the yard on Friday morning.

Not sure if he will turn up here, but on good ground Sea of Thunder is ripe for a big effort.

trainer has stated he will be pulled out if word soft appears in going.

i would be interested in him on good ground especially if it was still drying out but i dont think realisticly we are going to see going next week without the word soft in it

Surely 3/1 about Back in Focus is massive for this? Grade 1 winner, will stay forever and the ground will at least have a bit of dig in it, which he needs. Always been a fan of this horse and will be hoping he can get the day started well.

The others are all admirable but not in this lads class. I just have a feeling 3/1 could look huge afterwards. Seems so obvious!

Ballsy, like it. I've backed him as well.

Have him, Pont and Sprinter in an antepost five fold running from today on Simonsig and Quevega.

Well done on Simonsig by the way. 9/4 was a great bet.
