Saw it tonight.
Brilliant, just like the first one.
If anyone is a fan of the early Rocky films you will absolutely love this.

I'm watching Rocky on monday, cant wait.

Great bit in the trailer

Rocky "i'm thinking maybe i'm not done fighting"

Pauly "what, you think you havent peaked yet????"

CLASS

The tv i/v with Stallone was quite revealing - I thought he came over as a very genuine, open sorta guy. He felt he hadn't done the 'right thing' by Rocky and was going to redress the balance of poor quality with a grand finale. He's looking a bit worn, but he's actually now got the authentic look of a battered old bruiser. Hope it does well for him. I still think he's a much more versatile actor than he's been given credit for. If he had the right vehicle, he'd do really well in comedy, though as the fat, out-of-condition cop in that film with Keitel (forgotten its name - they were all corrupt and he had his nose smashed and in a plaster for most of it) I thought he was terrific.

The very one, Colin, thanks. I remember titles less and less now, it seems. Really thought he brought a lot to that part - I felt really sorry for his character, bullied and despised. He seems to excel in 'underdog makes good' parts!

I hope he's not regretting Rocky IV!

I thought it was shite. But then i've never been a big rocky fan to start with.

Too many holes in the script, and thats without even questioning the premise of the film anyway (a 60yr old ex boxer making a return based upon a computer simulation). Why did they spend so much time making a big deal out of rocky's relationship with the black kid, only for him to almost never appear again? Quite honestly, i think i could have written a better story, but that will obviously get lost in Rocky fever.

The Pursuit of Happyness was simple but effective. A typical tale of the American Dream working. Nothing original at all, but a nice film, worth seeing.

At the time it was made Dolph was possibly the hardest bloke on the planet too. He used to travel the world winning karate tournaments. None of the figures from Rocky IV were faked, he really did punch as hard as that.

I`m pretty sure Raging Bull came out after Rocky and/or Rock 2. If Stallone had any class he`d have seen how superior Scorsese`s film was and thought **** it, that`s me done with boxing pics.

How boring!!! they are all the same he looks like he is going down and out then comes back for one more fight and guess what he wins!!!!!

Apart from the fact he doesn't win, Mason Dixon wins on points. He also lost in the first Rocky movie on points to Apollo Creed.

Get your facts right if you are going to diss the Italian Stallion.

fudge, do you even know why you're laughing?

Twin Jones, you didn't seem to bother when fudge "guessed" at the ending in his previous post.

Pull yourself together.

I was just laughing at the fact that he didnt win. I watched them all as a kid and at the time loved them and always had boxing matches with my 3 brothers after watching. But now i just hate all these predictable films where the good guy always wins. Thats why for me i love films like Saw 1,2 and 3, Sixth Sense etc.

What a film, everything you could ask from a Rocky film, was on my feet cheering at the end

I've not done that since Kurt Sloane beat Tong Po in Kickboxer.

Did knowing the fight result ruin it for you?
SPOILER ALERT!!!

knowing the result didnt change the enjoyment one bit, watching him walk back to the dressing room before the result has even been announced meant so much as an image. He didnt need to win, he just needed to fight.
