I actually don't mind that DO - it's the comparison of figures within a control group I'm interested in, as such. Put simply, I thought the figures published on the RUK blog were too perfect to have been attained independently; I think they've simply been adjusted by scale (sorry to use that word again) from the figures published by another party. If your figures differ by his by exactly the same amount, then I'll revise that opinion, but I suspect anyone's method for time analysis will produce occasional outliers.
