Master Of The Seas ruled out of Royal Ascot following setback..

The Godolphin colt has suffered a setback and won't be able to line up in the St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Hopefully this thread can pick up some interest going forward.

Does anyone have any specific race in mind for any particular horse?

Any fancies for the big handicaps (which I probably look forward to more than anything else)?

Anyone know for definite of any horse targeting a specific race?

I can't find many angles at all in the conditions races. I kind of want to take Palace Pier on in the Queen Anne with Alpine Star but the latter is in the wrong hands imo. She could run her in the POW.

Subjectivist I'll probably back for the Gold Cup. He's a solid back to partial lay proposition

Pyledriver is interesting in the Hardwicke. He's 8/1 and in amongst him in the market you have a slew of the usual Ballydoyle hounds - Japan (won't run), Mogul (squiggle merchant) Mare Australis (won the worst Ganay ever) and Tiger Moth (handicapper). Pyledriver has won over course and distance and one would think this is his target although I'm not clued up on the trainer so he could run in the Coronation Cup.

Summerghand is too big at 20s in the Diamond Jubilee. He has form to turn round with Naharr and Starman from the DoY but York isn't his track, Ascot is. His form figures prior to last week on the Knavesmire were 3/10/10/6. He's a bet if O'Meara can resist the Greenlands thing at the Curragh on Saturday.

So that's two horses I like but both could run in the next couple of weeks. Cheltenham is so much easier from an ante post point of view. Get a grip flat trainers.

As for Handicaps, I'll be honest I don't know what they are aside from the Woki and the Hunt Cup. Are the ones that they inserted last year in or nah?
I like Nugget and Matthew Flinders for the Hunt Cup. If there's a silver Wokingham Perotto would be a bet.

I'm not sure tbh. But I love the Britannia, KEVII and Chookie Embra as well, obviously, as the Hunt Cup and Wokingham. They really get my juices going. I just love the challenge. The Ascot Stakes I'm less keen on. If Hayley Turner rides for Charlie Fellowes in the Sandringham I might try and get on early.

Fellows has said that if the Handicapper left Vadream on 100 he would go for the Sandringham. 103 woulf hardly stop him running.
