Nice to see Yorkhill with entries. I’d be interested in him in a handicap of some sort. He’s in the betting for National but not interested in that. Thought he was coming with a big run in the Ladbrokes Trophy before falling. Guessing he’ll have dropped a few pounds an all.

On this race, I’ll take either Min or A Plus Tard.

Anyone give Riders Onthe Storm a chance?

Was Cyrname going to win today? I’ve missed all today’s racing and not been able to keep check. Chose to watch Preston get battered at home by Millwall instead, poor choice.

Seen Riders Onthe Storm clear on the replays but guessing they missing the final fence because of the fall. Saw Traffic Fluide was coming with a big run an all.

Thanks

Cyrname was beaten in third and could well have finished last. Traffic Fluide looked much the likeliest winner coming to the last, trading at 1.07 when he went.

Wouldn't like RotS for this year's Ryanair as today's race must have taken a lot out of him. Could see him developing into a Gold Cup horse next season.

Also, full replays are available on the Sporting Life website :)

Winner and Cyrname went at it too far out. Will be amazing from Nicholls to get Cyrname back anything like his form from last year. Winner not to be touched again this year. How did he get sold for 50K last summer? Traffic Fluide given a clever ride.Unlucky and hope he is ok. 10-3 in the National.

A few horses over the years have had a hard race at Ascot and that’s left a mark on them. I remember Voy por Ustedes hosing up only to flop in the Ryanair (although Imperial Commander who won that didn’t turn out too badly!). Even the mighty Kauto ran below par (imo although he probably wouldn’t have lived with Denman even at his best in the 2008 GC) after winning at Ascot

Several winners didn’t make it to Cheltenham for one reason and another and a couple won the Ryanair (Cue Card and Riverside Theatre) but on better ground.

I backed yesterday’s winner for this a few weeks ago but have written that off now. It was NRNB so hope he doesn’t go but Twister sounds bullish about Cheltenham (unsurprisingly it’s NTD after all[emoji17])
