Obviously we already have a thread for the Tingle Creek but the rest of the card is probably worth one of it’s own. Plenty of quality on show

Edwardstone is a bet in the Henry VIII

Relative to the favourite he’s the wrong price Saturday. 9/2 with 365 but Betfred offering 3 places @ 4/1. Was cantering in his first run over fences when brought down then won easily next time out.

Finished in front of Third Time Lucki giving 5lb at Cheltenham over hurdles in March. That one is 6/4 and for all he’s looked good the last twice, this is better and a different track.

I absolutely love watching Sandown on TV but what shock to the system when I went racing there in the 90's.......I really thought "What a dump"

However geting back to saturdays meeting

I'd be happy to risk a bet on Diesa Alba who's troubles mught just be behind him. His Aintree effort over hurdles was excellent

Chacun as stated looks past the post already

Despite top weight Colin Tizzard's Triple Trade might be well in against a somewhat moderate lot

Third Time Lucki is going for a hatrick and is very hard to oppose

Interesting that PFN turns out Il Ridoto again in the Henry VIII. This one barely broke a sweat last weekend when readily accounting for a few previous winners.
Obviously a much better race here and he’s got the quick turnaround to cope with as well but probably falls into the could be anything category

Red Infantry interests me in the London Nash with Brian Hughes an eye catching booking

You could be on to someithing there.

The 12lbs rise has to be a worry but why would PN risk a 4 year old Chaser in such a tough race if he wasn't something special.

He does have a good turn of foot and with good ground that becomes even more relevant

Only 2 places but a win bet 7/1 and 7/4 a place looks very tempting.

No harm in me backing both as long as I come out ahead:)

I had a decent bet or two but not to that extent I'm afraid

Most of my selections have been cut drastically since I backed them

All the evens about Chacun has gone, Triple Trade has gone from 10/1 to 100/30 and Deisa Alba 5/1 to 3/1

No info for any of them just the bookies playing silly buggers as usual I expect

Third Time Lucki becoming a price I may not be able to leave alone.

Nicholls horse is a ridiculous price, literally guessing rather then actual form in the book.

Gezzus Triple Trade has drifted to 16/1 on the machine....not to worry placed 3rd in the end:)

Double trouble both Ill Ridoto and Third Time Lucki beaten but Tom Cannon needs some wing mirrors.......miles clear he's knocked hell out of the winner for no reason:blink:

Brain dead ride by Skelton on TTL and set it up for Edwardstone. I followed wilsonl in on it (got 10/3 this morning) as he was higher-rated over hurdles than TTL and entitled to be better over fences. But Skelton made it easier for him.

Not exactly out of characther either, terrible terrible jockey who gets it wrong so often, zero composure.

Very nice mate well done

As I was saying never a Saturday goes by that PN doesn't have winners.............no wonder he is champion trainer that was awesome

Like writing a suicide note, with the tactics from the Skeltons

I’m not in general a jockey bashed but HS is so untidy. He flaps around like a chicken that’s had its primary feathers extracted. And it cannot really help the horse as it must seriously throw their balance off kilter.

I'm no fan of Skelton but I wonder - if anyone has the means to check - how many races he has won by less than two lengths?

I ask because he is the one jockey I regularly notice plotting an inside route. He never gives away ground. Every extra yard wide on the track costs a length per circuit, so anything between one and three lengths per race.

He's no great stylist but I don't mind seeing him on anything I've backed, for that reason.
