I suppose today is all about the jumps and the trainers championship battle. Fag end of the season is always a bit of a lottery so it’s probably just as well that I’m still on the betting sidelines. Can’t say I’m that enamoured of Mullins being able to pack the races with so many top horses, but he’s got them so I guess it’s fair enough - just doesn’t seem right. Apart from that it reminds me of a scene from Crocodile Dundee when he is accosted in New York by a mugger waving a knife. “Call that a knife” says Dundee, reaching for the back of his neck and drawing out a massive Bowie knife from under his shirt. “Now, THIS is a knife” he says as the mugger turns tail. Looks like Crocodile Mullins has the ammo, but you never know and there’s always Jonbon to thwart him.

Two flattie watchers today. Naval Command - 2:35 Leicester. - who has had the one run when favourite and fourth of nine. Wasn’t a bad effort since he was as green as grass. Starlit Spice - 4:55 Haydock - an eye catching run in second on her only run.

Err, today for me is like any other day and trying to find a few winners and put money in MY pocket.

It's certainly not about "Who Ate All The Pies?" versus "Who Got All The Best Horses?" - I couldn't begin to care less what the final result is there. 😂

I agree, but it is definitely making the afternoon more interesting from a spectator's point of view.
