Evidently the rain at Chepstow was of biblical proportions and turned the hurdles course into a quagmire with the chase course not as bad. Hopefully, it’ll stay dry today and be a bit better.

Of interest today, albeit betting unlikely.

2:30 - not sure why Henderson is persevering with Emir Sacree who only ran four times last season and pulled up in three of them. A decent run at Sandown when he did complete, though.

3rd - much better run, bowled along out in front until the run-in and got taken off his feet a bit.

3:10 - high hopes for Knappers Hill as he takes to the fences, but I wasn’t thrilled by the Nicholls runners yesterday (Captain Teague excepted)
2nd - Jumped pretty well and wasn’t given a hard time
3:40 - Datsalrightgino improved by leaps and bounds last season and is destined for longer trips than this opener. Doesn’t want it too soft, though.NR

4:15 - there’s a few in here looking for a decent hurdle win before going on to fences, with (Sonigino, Blow Your Wad, Benassi among them. Nicholls aimed Sonigino for this and should be up for it, although there is that question mark.

4:50 - Harry Derham says that he’s got Shared as right as he can be without a race. Has won on soft, but this looks like being a lot worse than that. Might have a bite. Won nicely and bit I did

5:22 - Kap Boy hs his first outing and it will be interesting to see how he goes. Looked he might b quite good and willingly fought hard for the win
