Atlantis

1/7 Doncaster - only went down by a head despite hanging persistently left and having to be hauled off winner. Bit more experience and will do alright.

Doncaster 8:15
Handicap debut, mark looks workable. Last two runs second in Class3 - this is Class4 - same trip. Not sure about jockey or G/F going. 5/4 atm

Won without sweat. 8/11 in the end

Armour Propre

7/6 Salisbury - very promising debut. 22:6 Carlisle - favourite 3/1 and very good run, just denied by a head and first three miles in front of the other ten.

Newbury 3:30
The highly competitive Class2 Super Sprint and she’s pitched in with only Class4/5 experience. Hannon must think a lot of her (she’s also entered in the Class2 Weatherby at Doncaster in September). This is a big ask, though, and it may just be a test run for the Donny one. Watch price. 33/1 atm

15th Slowly away, as expected never featured. If it was a trial run they didn’t learn much.

Equilateral

2/7 The Coral Charge at Sandown - Race report says it all. Would have been plenty closer. “ slowly into stride, held up in rear, not clear run on rail from over 1f out, trapped behind weakening rival until switched left and then hampered inside final furlong, ran on late, never able to recover”

Curragh 3:10
Looks a good opportunity and Frankie goes over for Charles Hills, too, despite plenty of Gosden runners on home ground. 4/1 atm

3rd No excuses this time, just not good enough

Puntarelle

21/6 Newbury - got knocked about a bit in the firsts part of the race, couldn’t get clear run and switched towards outside inside last two. Then switched back again and finished quite strongly into fourth.

Newmarket 1:42
Always a bit dodgy at HQ with newcomers from strong stables, but Puntarelle is up a furlong which will suit. 11/2 atm

non-runner

Royal Dress

24/6 Newmarket - sat at the back waiting for a gap that never appeared. In the final furlong he moved to his left to get some room only to be promptly hampered. Put in a pretty strong finish, though, into fourth of eleven.

Doncaster 6:15
Not sure if he’s up for this, still over 6f - when longer distance ought to suit - and 7lb claimer aboard. Hannon also has The Big Board in the race who showed up very well on her debut at Newbury. Best just to watch them, I think.

2nd and 3rd

Royal Parade

4/6 Doncaster - for a horse that cost £300k as a yearling you’d expect (hope for) great things. Just a little Class5 and he was given a nice educational introduction. He showed some promise moving sweetly through to challenge 2f out and gave it best well into the last furlong without being pressured whatsoever. Should really come on from it.

Newmarket 4:31
Favourite, but faces a Godolphin runner who cost rather more as a foal and odds on must be too skinny. 4/6 atm

2nd

State Occasion

15/6 Royal Ascot - finished really well in the Kensington Palace to finish fourth despite having met plenty of trouble and traffic on the way.

Newbury 4:05
Only five runners and quite a hot favourite to beat, but there doesn’t seem much between them. 7/2 atm.

2nd Decent run, bagged a narrow lead into last furlong before the winner romped past

The no hoper excluded it would’ve been a good placepot :D. Two main bets, but the 5/4 Atlantis was short of paying for Equilateral.
