A word has came my way from connections of Imperial Leader. Available at 25/1. Trainer says in better form than any time last year. I've had a dash at it so feel free to get on.

Favourite Batavir's defection would have an impact on the market and the influential Paul Kealy tips him in his Weekender column.

Clocked it was 16.5 on Betfair earlier.........went to have a look at B365, and saw they'd yanked the market.

They are hopefully shi*tting themselves.

Maybe Digger IS Paul Kealy!

I felt obliged to follow digger's advice straight away yesterday. I know I have IL well handicapped but didn't take the time (still haven't) to do the form for the race. I just knew there was a good chance it would at least make my short list and would have been kicking my own arrse black and blue if I'd missed the big price come Saturday.

I've said before, I think the RP office gets a lot of intel and they'll know how good the sources are. There's a fair chance they and Digger share the same source.

I would never work for the Racing Post. The editor is a penis with almost no interest in Horse Racing. Its a trade paper that should be doing all it can to support and promote the sport. All its done for the last few years is promote the bookmakers that pay for it.

Anyway - i'd be better on TV.

Edit - daft point.

Yes, I remember lamenting some time back that the Pricewise stable stopped printing the price percentages at the foot of each column. No doubt the bookies asked them to bin it as it was too easy to identify the most and least generous firms.

Haha, last time you use the words, "feel free to get on"

Thanks for the heads up. Not on yet but looking to get involved on the day with a decent trixie. With hindsight I'd have done the single earlier in the week but I didn't expect the Pipe horse to miss and the race to cut up to 12.

Still looks a good wager in that field to me.

Thanks again and good luck today

I don't bet with that 365 mob so took the best price available on Betfair and averaged 25.25...........only did what you told me to do:)

Imperial Leader may have found the combination of trip and ground against him but he wasn’t helped by the ride he got. The form book will tell you when you move the rails out 6 yards it adds about 18 yards – about six lengths – per circuit so Sam Twiston-Davies’s wide steer throughout would have added more than twice that and probably closer to three times it. He had no chance in those circumstances and should not be abandoned for the future.

Ran well until the race started in earnest but had me going for a while..I backed the fav as a saver but NJH did me which hurt...Barry Geraghty did well putting everyone away by saying beforehand Nicky chose which one I should ride............what on earth Barry's wife was doing in the bookies this morning I have no idea
