As usual I’ve got a lot of trackers, mostly in the big handicaps and doubled up unfortunately. Might have a bit of fun, but nothing serious.

Ascot 3:00

Baradar 7/1 - the Ascot 7f is ideal as is the ground.
Montassib 20/1 - hasn’t lived to early promise, but it’s in there.

York 2:40

Summerghand 8/1 - not best drawn, but down to decent weight.
International Girl 14/1 - Fahey reports her jumping out of her skin at home.

Shouldn’t really bet in the KG since any of the major players wouldn’t surprise. Got to take an interest, though, so Emily Upjohn has it.

Now to one that really interests me, which is the Pat Eddery Listed 2yo race at Ascot - 4:15. Really hot one this, full of previous winners and some very likely to be destined for the top table:

Ancient Wisdom - cost 2million this one and faces first serious test after two easy Class 4 wins. The money is talking in the 2/1 price, maybe.

Sunway - ran as green as grass, but mighty impressive at Sandown 3/1 might prove a bargain.

Alyanaabi - won well at Salisbury. I respect Shadwell runners since they downsized and left themselves with the cream. They won’t know much about this one yet, of course.

Probably go for Sunway.

Hannon said he wanted to what he’d got with Rosallion and that turned out to be something that looks pretty special. Although no chance with the four length winner Al Musmak looked pretty decent in second. Third (just) was Ancient Wisdom and although not given a hard time you might have expected more for your $2,000,000. The Shadwell runner Alyanaabi almost nicked third coming from the back and also looked decent. Sunway was a big disappointment and a big question mark there. All worth keeping an eye on, I think.
