Hi ya all;

My lucky 15 for today

Doncaster

4.10

A strong handicap. Blue Tomato won well last weekend and looks like he is back to his best for Dandy Nicholls. He is fancied to run another big race here and is well drawn to do so. Cape’s recent work in Newmarket is another plus note and he worked well with Generous Thought on Wednesday morning as well as a nice horse of Henry Cecil’s that led the gallop. The Howling team are expecting a big run from this filly. However I have been given the nod to get on Green Park today. The horse is just about suited by 6f and has the ground he needs this afternoon. He is back within 2lb of his Gosforth Cup win and has been going well at home. Connections are rather keen on his chances and he is the one they all have to beat. Blue Tomato and Cape will certainly be two to play with each way against him.

Kempton

2.05

A tight handicap. Mujaadel had been shaping nicely with yesterday’s winner Canary Islands but he far from impressed in his work with Dear Maurice on Tuesday and is possibly best watched. The yard run Formation who is far from straight forward but has a degree of ability. He worked okay on Wednesday and Drowney will be looking to produce him late here, he has a small each way claim.
Legislation is fit for this and worked well on Wednesday with a couple of nice sorts. He has previously been working with two of the yards better 3yo’s and is in good form. He is poorly drawn however, but should go well.
Always Ready is another on the Newmarket gallops going well but he won a poor handicap the other day and the fact he hangs left wont help him here.
If this goes to Newmarket it will be won by ELYSEE PALACE. He has been seriously impressive in his recent work and is in great order on the gallops. He blew out very well with Maslaha the other morning and would be a nicer sort than that. He is in good order and has seriously improved since his last start. He is well drawn and a big run is expected.
Elna Bright is the other to consider and he had good form for Richard Hannon last season. Reports from the Meehan yard suggest he has been leading 2000 Guineas hopes City Leader and Skadrak at home and shaping nicely. He is interesting and worth saving on.

3.45

A decent contest again and Great Hawk gets the vote in a strong race. He needed the run when 3rd in the Winter Derby and really impressed in his work yesterday morning. He comes here in really good order and is expected to beat Kandidate who has been running okay without success lately. Clive’s old campaigner worked okay on Tuesday but may struggle to beat Great Hawk who has course and distance form and is expected to make up into a serious prospect this year. Diamond Tycoon is another expected to run well but I have my doubts of whether he will truly stay. Spice Route would be worth saving on after some decent gallops lately and if Gold Prospect were to go close in the race before his chances would be enhanced. He is in good order at home and whilst he needs to improve to take this, the signs on the gallops are encouraging.

Newbury

2.20

Oliver Sherwood’s horses are in top order at present and Caribou comes here for this in really good form. He has been doing it nicely on the gallops and 3m on soft ground is what he ideally wants. He has been running with credit lately and connections feel they have found a suitable opening this afternoon for him to collect in. Oneway of Mark Rimell’s was a high class 2m chaser 2 seasons back and shaped very well in the Connaught Gold Cup last month over 2m 4f. He gave the impression he would stay further on that occasion but may have preferred better ground for his first try at 3m. He is one to keep an eye out for and I think he could pop up in that big 2m 6f chase at Market Rasen at the end of then summer.

Good Luck

Strange run from Elysee Palace and I think she drifted, how did she look in the paddock?
I'm very wary of backing fillies at the moment, they aren't thriving at all yet in this cold spring

PS Well done with Caribou Chris, I didn;t back him to win due to his pref for a right-handed track, but I had a nice place bet :D

For my only non-Nad bet I've done Chartist in the 2.40, may have more improvement in him than the others, but there's a lot of guesswork at this time of the year.

Huge prices on Classic Fiddle, got a decent W&P on BF, going well till that bump!!! :angy:

And the way she finished she would have won...
