It's very quiet on here.
I suspect everyone is weather watching with plenty of rain forecast in the next day or so.
One I like the look of is Knight Of Allen 1.15 Haydock tomorrow.
Goes on good to soft and heavy and was given a tender ride first time out at Uttoxeter.
Looks a good each way bet at 10/1.
Good luck everyone.

First instalment for Saturday:

1.50 Haydock - I’ve taken 8/1 Hillcrest for this. He looked a potential Gold Cup horse in his novice hurdle season but has been off since pulling up on his final appearance in the Albert Bartlett, for which he was 9/4f and strongly fancied. The runner-up, Minella Cocooner, is now a 158-rated chaser (and probably better than that). Hillcrest would have been entitled to improve 10lbs into his novice-chasing season so could be very well treated at these weights. The trip might be on the tight side for him but I half-suspect this might be the first step on the road to getting into the Grand National off a mark under 150. He’d need to get a few runs in, though, being a first-season novice.

Good race that. As well as Lucky Place and Capodanno mentioned elsewhere (there are too many threads) I'm also keen on Hititi at Haydock in the handicap chase that's attracted a load of old boats like Fontaine Collonges and Les Milos. I like Robert Walford and this horse was most eye catching last time at Chepstow.

Knight of Allen ran well to finish 3rd.
Nice bit of place money.

Absolute shocker of a ride from Jonjo O’Neill there on Iroko IMO. The winner did it well enough but should never have been given that much rope. And yes this is pocket talk

I'd quite forgotten how huge Hillcrest is. Henry Daly is the epitome of patience and there didn't seem to be much market confidence in this return so I'm not going to write the horse off just yet. Can't say I was impressed by his jumping, though.

No offence, viking, but I was urging Trelawne home, not just for Outsider's sake, but because I felt JON deserved to be taught a lesson for being over-confident. He definitely loused that up and that isn't my pocket talking. Hard lines.

A fantastic performance, jumping like a natural in his very first chase against more experienced rivals. Mistakes yes but I think to jump as well as he did in this class. Only his 9th race under rules. I'll be watching this race a few times.
