Not really sure where to put this but just thought I would put up Hills betting on the X-Factor winners future:
No 1 singles in 2006: 11/4 none; 1/4 one, 7/1 two, 14/1 three, 40 four, 66/1 five and 100/1 six.
Think there is a bit of value in there to be at two and three number ones. He is virtually guaranteed the Christmas number 1 at Christmas and that number one could well last a couple of weeks if not more. So say that could be the first number 1 he has of 2006.
I think alot of these prices are based on the lack of success of last years winner but I think Ward is a completely different kettle of fish. Not only he is younger, better singer and more appeal to the young females than Steve (the previous winner) but he also gets on well with Cowell who will be keen to have a big sucess this year to give the show a bit of credability ahead of next year's version. Throw in the fact these shows have thrown up relatively long term stars....Will Young here and Kelly Clakson around the world. Plus in fairness to the guy he does have a cracking voice. 7/1 and 14/1 might be a bit of a fun bet to start of the year?
