Silent Witness Bbc1 Now

This is still a drippy, soppy series, though it's now almost slightly animated since Amanda Burton was taken away to be thawed out of her cryogenic state.

Presumably made before the invention of Betfair. "Now we know the favourites not going to win, but how on earth do we make money out of that?"

I don't know how else they could have filmed the racing scenes. To me, they weren't laughable but rather just part of how sport is depicted on film.

I suppose those who thought it was laughable also say Superman flying is laughable on the basis that men cannot fly.

These later series of Silent Witness are very good (all bar this one, that is!!) since they got rid of Amanda Burton as you say Kri!!

Jinnyj is dead right about the racing scenes - laughable or what??!!! I loved the way that the pygmy on board managed to wrestle his horse to the ground - done ever-so subtley & not in your face at all - *cough*!!! The kick was great too - I'd love to know how 1) two owners got into the horse's box in the racecourse stableyard unopposed in the first place to dope it & 2) how on earth yer man got a boot in his ribcage whilst stood behind a horse in it's stable!! Either the horse had go-go-gadget legs or the stable was massive & he was stood about 5 feet behind the horse's back legs!

...and I'd like to know how John Connor was ever in any danger when we all know time travel isn't possible, not to mention killer robots who look like humans.

I'm with Phil on this. If a production company had to film a scene to satisfy all the so called experts out there, be they police (The Bill) nurses (Casualty) firemen (Londons Burning) or people who go racing (Silent Witness) etc. then I'm sure the cost alone would prohibit it ever getting on our screens in the first place. Sometimes we have to use a bit of imagination.

I'm the first to admit I'm picky, pedantic & a perfectionist I'm afraid tetley! Not to mention kinda critical at times....

So do I...
