What a fabulous season this horse has had especially winning the QM when many (myself included) thought he wouldn't handle the course/ground. He may have benefited from SS absence but that doesn't detract much from his achievements IMO.

A great advertisement for keeping horses on the go also - while some horses can't really cope well with more than 2-3 races a season others can and I think there were a number of trainers guilty of thinking that just one or two prep races before Cheltenham was always the right way to go after HK did this so successfully with Best Mate

It's great for the stable also to be winning top class races.

Hopefully we can see some great duals with SS next year.

Throw Simonsig into the mix as well and we might have a vintage year next season.

I don't think that anyone deserves this more than the Moores, especially Jamie whose careful handling of the horse keeping him fresh and engaged.

sprinter v simonsig v sdg in the tingle creek please

in all honesty, they are all playing for 2nd place if the aeroplane comes back to himself

They won't race Simonsig against Sprinter. Would imagine Simonsig going up in trip.

Been lucky enough to see most of his wins this year and a fair few perviously. Totally agree with Vikings sentiments, especially about number of runs. Although hasten to add I couldn't see him beat in the q m at all

Yesterday was like a homecoming. Local owners and trainer. Great atmosphere in sarf London

Have a lot of time for the Moores. Fully deserving of having a champion in the stable

yeah most likely. tbh i've no idea what to expect from either when they return. a year out is a long time.

if sprinter never returns to his old standards they could substitute him with the grey. he's good enough to win 2 mile grade 1 races, if the injury hasn't made him lose his way.

Lovely horse, fantastic story - and lovely lovely owners. I got part-adopted by the daughter and her boyfriend yesterday - and a friendlier pair of people I honestly couldnt have wished to meet. Really wish them all the best with everything.

A dozen posts and nobody dismissed the horse as sub standard!
We must be getting soft ......
Great to see a dream come true for a "regular " Joe; just a pity it isn't me !
Even JP was impressed according to Claire Balding.
