I’m ok now but someone else has contacted me to say they can’t get onto the site...it says ‘this site has been moved to a new server: follow these instructions to clear your DNS cache and possibly restore the site. Has there been a problem?

I’m ok. I didn’t do anything and when I turned it on later it was ok. But someone else is having the same problem.

I did too, cleared cache and
Was the same after - now it’s all back. We’re obviously the special ones ;).

I was in touch with Col to warn him about this and he thought the PHP had been updated and killed the forum so he put in a requst to downgrade the forum . However he wasn't sure if he would have to upgrade it. If anyone is still getting the site may have moved message it's just because the DNS hasn't updated on their ISP yet, it should be ok soon.

Just a reminder those on here who are Facebook friends or on Twitter can message me if you have a problem at any time and hopefully I will be able to let you know what's happening. TH also has a Facebook page. If none of that's your bag email me at thediamondgeezer@virginmedia.com and I will try and help.

Thank you Roger

Yes, the forum software is quite old now, and doesn't run on the latest PHP, so we do need an upgrade at some point, as I can't keep getting them to downgrade it to 5.xx when the latest is 7.xx.

I posted something yesterday and it came up as a blank entry- noticed some others had happened earlier in the day? When I tried to send a PM the message was saying enter recipient and subject, which I had but it 'blanked' the message and just wouldn't let me send. Is the same/part of same problem? Thank you. :)

Yes, that was the main problem, the site software is old so when it tried to write to the database it sent the wrong type of command that wasn't understood. It's sorted now, but I can't recover those posts/pm's as they were never actually saved to the database I'm afraid.
