I don't know but I can't get on to the site via google or Firefox.

I have been trying all week with no luck (Timing out) I got here using Tor Browser which bypasses the normal routes.

That would indicate that some idiot in Thailand has decided the site should be blocked or can anyone come up with any other reason why suddenly I am having a problem?

There have been a couple of issues recently, one if not both was due to one of the sites on the server we use being subjected to a DDOS attack according to Col but most of us were able to log in again once that was cleared up.

Maybe clean up your cookies and start over ?

Thanks for the tip re Tor browser, I've downloaded it as I've recently had a lot of problems accessing FF and will be interested to see if that gets around that particular problem.

I find the Tor browser does access Final Furlong whenever IE, Firefox and Google does not, so could be useful if anyone regularly has problems accessing a particular site with their favoured browser.

The thing tho', DG, is that TOR is not really intended or designed for the ordinary surface Web; The Onion Router is a mechanism for accessing the underground dot.onion domains ajnd hidden sites of the DarkNet -- and for ensuring the anonymity of the user. Hence, a TOR browser sends a page request from your computer thru' anything of up to ten different and consecutive nodes scattered around the world re-encrypting the data multiple times. The result of this is that a TOR browser is very very slow in reponse time.

If at all possible, one is far better off using the mainstream browsers of Chrome, Firefox, I.E., Opera etc when surfing/visiting sites such as TH, FF, on the normal surface Web.

Incidentally, I'm not sure if the below is to be recommended ..................

Didn't find it particularly slow, slower yes but only a few seconds. I only pointed out you might access a site with Tor when all else fails wasn't recommending it to replace anyone's chosen browser.

Why would Col ban anyone for using Tor, does it affect this board in some way ?

News to me but I imagine what he meant was should you use it to post abuse under another name and hide your IP adress then a ban would be issued.

Right now I still can't access the site without Tor. When I try and I get this

While trying to retrieve the URL: http://www.talkinghorses.co.uk/forum/

The following error was encountered:

Connection to 193.104.35.207 Failed

If I am asked to cease to use Tor browser then of course I will
