The Sporting Life Naps table http://www.sportinglife.com/racing/naps-table is currently being headed by racings walking encyclopeida Rory Delargy with a massive 33 points profit. Great stuff Rory keep it up!!!

Can anyone explain to me what the W and L stand for along the headings

Won = won and L = Lost is obvious but why has it 1 below "W" and 0 below the "L"

Can't for the life of me work it out:blink:

Rory's Nap today is The Lampo Genie 11/8

Think I'll back them for a few days and see if I can make it pay because right now I couldn't pick my own nose.

Start with 300 quid......stake 100 pounds plus 10% of any profit is how I am playing it.

W = winning streak (presumably current sequence of winners)
L = losing streak (the opposite)

I only found that out by hovering the mouse over the letters.

That's an unusual way of doing things normally it would tell you the longest losing and winning streaks...........2nd yesterday hopefully today's selection 90 pounds win Pixeleen will go one better.

I think I've jinxed poor Rory.........sorry mate

Not dead yet.

Today he's gone for Last Echo 7/4 80 pounds win leaves 30 pounds in the bank

Can someone delete this thread please

Today's nap was a last minute substitution, btw, after my original choice (Duke Cosimo) was taken out late yesterday afternoon. The RP kindly rang and asked for another, which I suspect wouldn't be the case if I was twentieth on the list.

I'll delete you if you are not careful LOL

Where you been anyway ? Keep logging into TRF and you never there......Don't worry about losing my 300 quid Baaaaaaa! sob sob I promise not to tell anyone :0)

The bigger question is since when has Rory worked for the Field? Do you get a slot in the paper as well these days Rory?

Won by half the track Rory pity about the non runners.....I cleared 39.85 so the bank now stands at 149.85

Will be having 72.85 on tomorrow's nap which I have no idea what it is because the link requires a password and i'm off to bed :0)

Being doing bits and pieces since Gold Cup Day (rushed home from visiting the newborn in hospital to write the first one), and think the tipping thing came along at an opportune time. Let's hope it works out better than RUK....

It's getting more like TRF on here every day with all these familiar names. Corm will be posting next

Should have asked - have you sorted out a passport yet for Cheltenham? Can't have these foreigners running around unchecked.

Surely a Cheltenham Members badge opens more doors than a UK passport? I will be stealing over the border for the Open Meeting - not too long now (thank Gawd).

I did however due to it being mentioned have a look just now.

It comes as no surprise a certain poster is having a time out. Big question is did Cormack finally realise he was using the forum as a personal podium to try and get the attention of the media to offer him a job/in his dreams. Or did the penny drop that he caused more fights then any poster in the forums history? He somehow managed to draw members into his would be fool proof betting system and the posts in other sections dropped like a stone.

The truth is all he was doing was multi dutching and posting the best prices available. Prices that no bookie would have given without slicing a few points off and in many cases refusing bets all together. The admin costs of taking his type of bets when profits or losses tend to be small in either direction would result in his accounts being closed.

I challenged him several times and pointed out his system wouldn't work in a million years.....every price he claimed he posted was always the best available and he always got on etc etc but he just squirmed his way round about answering.....It certainly srtaed others questioning him but because he posts so much it was always the other guys fault, numbers in all parts of the forum were down and would have gone to about 4 a day if he was banned........I got a feeling he was pushed or asked nicely to stop because Cormack finally woke up to the fact the forum was becoming a posters and not his plus many of the long term posters were sick to death of all the posts being centred round one guy who basically was full of BS..........I hope for the sake of this forum he never turns up here.

Sorry for the rant but as you may have guessed I have no time for users or a$$lickers and that guy is an expert in both and I truly believe he all but ruined what used to be a very good forum

Back to Business........Rory has gone for Ingenti who was as high as 10/1 earlier but is now 6/1 with most books and 8.2 on the machine which I took..........also had a sneaky bet on 4 places to cover my stake as I can see why he gives the horse a good chance but that doesn't count :0)

Thought Ingenti looked all over the winner 2 furlongs out,,,,,,,,,boy gave it a good enough ride and would have got there in another 20 yds that said may well have won with a stronger pilot........no harm done my end but unlucky Rory.

Aye Fist, looks like there's a few richly deserved chickens home to roost in that quarter. :)
