Nothing to raise the pulses today, but there is an interesting recruit from the flat starting out today at Ffos Las.

Qoya 4:00. Was quite a decent Class 4 performer on the flat who won a couple of times and finished up with an OR of 81. Alan King was going to run her in the Listed juvenile fillies hurdle at Doncaster on Friday, but here she is in a Class 4 novice hurdle at Ffos Las Instead. An interesting debut.

Kim Bailey’s Top Target in the 2:50 there won well at Wetherby and arguably threw the next one away at Wincanton by .jumping left throughout, although still a staying on second at 6/4on. Goes left today which should suit, but I would still prefer to see reasonably straight jumping.

Qoya ran quite a decent race and seemed to get a bit tired towards the end and wasn’t fluent at the second last. Wasn’t given a hard time, but need to see a bit more of her first.

Top Target ran nicely until push came to shove when he fell back despite some urging. I think his opening handicap mark might have been a bit much for him.
