Snakes On A Plane

I watched the Late Show with Jon Stewart on More4 a couple of days ago (great, funny show for anyone who`s never seen it) and according to Samuel L Jackson, who`s in the film it`s about

MOTHERFUCKING SNAKES ON A MOTHERFUCKING PLANE

Phil, I believe it's about some liddle puppy dogs that find their way onto a cruise liner on the Atlantic and eventually get rehomed by some nice American lady from Alabama.... or was that just a dream I had last night?

Sorry, what was that title again - there may be a clue there? :brows:

I saw a clip..... and don't want to ruin the reality of it... but can snakes really slither along the outside of a fuselage at 500mph, in tempteratures that must be about minus 50, and with oxygen levels about 20% of what they'd be at sea level....... and survive?

Good point, Warbler. Being reptiles, snakes become pretty inactive once the temperature drops. I look forward to David Attenburgh's next documentary on the Polar Anaconda.

Both in the USA and here they refused to put on a showing for the press. So no critic could see it before it opened tonight.

Which didn't stop last weekend's Sunday Mirror printing a review ("Fang-tastic and frightening - a cast iron cult hit" ) and awarding it four stars out of five!

Amazingly the as yet unseen film spawned hundreds of websites. The movie's title has already started to appear in slang dictionaries with roughly the same meaning as c'est la vie. This definition from urbandictionary.com - Guy1: "Dude, you just ran into the back of my SUV." Guy2:(calm) "Snakes on a plane, man, snakes on a plane".

Likely sequels suggested by bloggers include "Badgers On A Hovercraft" and "Racoons On The Space Shuttle".

Sharks on a skateboard couldn't miss. Combines our inbred fear of skateboards with the innocence of the family pet turned killer

Warren Marston in a red Arrow.

Just seen another review raving about what fun it is! However, a snakesperson said:

"We're fed up with usss getting thisss negative portrayal all the time. Anaconda! wasss bad enough, but even Disssssney continued to show us as the bad guy with all that 'trussst in me' crap. Look, we're just reptiles, folkss. Many of us are cute, playful and entirely harmwhoaaahhhh... look at that SWEEEET, juicy little baby over there... "

Surely the reptiles wouldn't be allowed on the plane in hand luggage either? Especially under the new tightened restrictions on hand baggage?

Alsations On A Trampoline.
I would put myself through 2 hours of sitting in close proximity to hundreds of other "people" to watch a film with this title.

Had a terrible drive back from Somerset yesterday - my windscreen vipers wouldn't work!

After that, I needed a krait of Foster's to calm me down!

Boom-boomslang!

Is there anyone here from Gaboon? What's your name, love? Anna Conder? And is that your squeeze sitting with you?
