I have been on holiday so just caught up with the Prix Jean Romanet on YT.A terrific training performance not just to come back and win a G1 after a serious tendon injury on her comeback run but against a field of G1 winners .

She was also biffed about by Izzi Top down the straight and would surely have got the race in the stewards room anyway . Great to see her back - shame Moore has broken his wrist though. He does seem to be a very important part of the operation- she does not seem to be quite the same horse for others.

If ever there was a horse doing well in spite of her trainer, not because of, she's it.

Why so Song’s? I was under the impression Ed had done alright in getting her back from injury straight enough to win this well contested race. His dad at least was impressed.

I think the point that Songsheet is making is more about the career of trainer Ed Dunlop generally.

Considering the ammunition and facilities he started out with success has been limited.

Limited to 25 Group or Grade 1 wins. Not many have done better with fillies and mares since he started training.

Thanks for the summing up Rory - my apologies for having an opinion on here that doesn't fit in with that of the usual suspects.

SteveM and Colin, thanks for the civil replies.

Thanks for the reply. At least you have paid (at cost it seems) to have an opinion ;) It was obviously a great effort to get Snow Fairy back by all concerned at the yard. However, deep down I think I know what you mean about Ed.

What's the problem -I can be wrong about a thousand things, you can be (badly) wrong about Hurricane Fly but Songsheet can't be wrong about anything.

I rate Ed Dunlop as a bad trainer

He has an outstanding record with fillies and mares.Only Henry Cecil in recent years with Midday has campaigned a filly as successfully as he has trained Ouija Board and Snow Fairy over multiple seasons.

only a dickhead keeps rubbing it in..especially after 2 years..and to just those you don't like..sad sad sad

why don't you spend your posting time being positive towards everyone..instead of embarrassingly licking the arse of some and being an arse to others

give it a rest for goodness sake..you are coming across as right arse

Actually, he's coming across as a right stalker - I hardly make any posts on this forum but when I do, he's right there with some arsey comment.

You need to get life, Luke - I've had a horse in training with Ed recently, so probably do know a bit more than you about the workings of the yard and how much he does of it - hence why I made the comment I did.

Good for SNOW FAIRY and her connections - she's a stunning mare full of grit and determnation and a real credit to her owner/breeder.
