Cryptic comment from Fallon in today's Weekender:

There is one talented and much-touted apprentice - and I won't mention his name to spare his blushes - who has got a little big-headed.

He started out very respectful of everyone in the weighing room but has already upset a couple of the top lads, which is not a smart thing to do.

Any ideas who the culprit is?

Have heard a bit more about this, including allegations a leading apprentice (no guesses needed) was left in tears after an altercation with a senior jockey. It seems being "too big for your boots" translates as "not knowing your place". I'd just call it bullying, if true.

It might just be the real world. If the kid was cheeky to someone maybe he deserved to be put in his place. A lot of kids grow up thinking they can give it up to anyone as they know if anyone retaliates physically they can get them done for assault. In certain circles they can still get 'their heid in their hauns' and it teaches them a lesson they're not allowed to be taught elsewhere.

I don't have a problem with that.

Brilliant Clive sums the twat up well

Using a mobile on the course wasn't very smart either Keiren, nor being accused of Conspiracy to Defraud and stuffing charlie up your nose. You got a hard neck talking about anyone speaking or acting out of place.

The sick thing about this, if true, IF HUH!!!! is that Fallon is or was Oisin idol so it is no surprise the young guy ended up in tears.

Oisin seems sensible enough to get over this and use his heid............if he has any sense he'll wait about 15 years when Fallon is fat and slow.....go up to him and ask if he remember him saying he had a big head and nut the fooker.

To be fair to Keiren Fallon (which few are, on here) Oisin did come across as a cocky little bleeder in a recent tv interview (at York, iirc).
