I have become a little addicted to this show which I record and then fast forward over the boring bits.

Richard Fleishmann (out of Corrie) is absolutely oustanding and he is only 16 years old. His Mum is someone I recognise out of Brookside from many years ago.

The show is probably best taped and then you can speed through to the performances as it can be quite hard work with all the advert breaks.

I am sad I know, but I am quite enjoying the programme and really hope Richard wins although others have a massive chance too. He has an absolutely fantastic voice and it wouldn't surprise me if he gets signed up to do make an album at some stage. Sad again, but I think I would possibly even buy it!

I've not seen that. I can honestly say that after Lost has finished tonight there are only two programmes I'll watch on the goggle box, Eastenders and Nip/Tuck :shy:

I love Desperate Housewives and have been looking forward to it for ages. Think its had a few mixed reviews though in the US this time around.

Getting back to the soapstars, I've only seen bits and bobs of it but I did see Richard whatever and he is a very good young singer. Sadly though I can see a pop career beckoning where he'll sing wishy washy songs which don't make use of the excellent voice that he has.

Until the return of Desperate Housewives next week?
No, never seen that. [/b][/quote]
If you can get hold of the first series it really was good - even Mr GG may approve esp of one particular young lady on it - seem to remember there were a few Gabrielle lusters on here. But there is plenty of male eye candy too.

Does this help redress (natch) the balance

Bizarre knickers
They do look a bit like the net curtains that used to adorn my nans windows many years ago

Who was his mum in Brookie (most lamented soap!! )then Kathy?? I remember her from corrie many moons ago, she worked in the rovers (didnt they all??!! ) but dont recall has in Brookie. (but didnt watch it seriously, so probably was before i started.)
Agree about RF - hope he wins it, but I'd like to see him sing something a bit challenging for him, though his version of Babylon the other night was amazing.....

She was Jimmy Corkhill's wife. (Jackie)

I have had the displeasure to hear the attempts at singing on Soapstar Superstar. None of them can. Sing, that is. They should stick to acting. Oops, forgot, they're terrible at that too. Never mind, they get paid loads of money to do it.

PS. That Richard chap was one of the worst singers.

That's it... Jackie Corkhill! B) Thanks Simmo.

The girl Roxy has a cracking voice too. I appreciate I am no great judge, but I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of these two in particular.

Yes, I need therapy, but whilst I am on my laptop at home, which is in the lounge facing the telly, I need something not too taxing to watch or listen to. That's my excuse and I am sticking to it.

The final's tonight, and I think Richard Fleishmann should win it hands down although sometimes these shows do throw up some strange results. He really is a superstar in the making, and to think he is still only 16 years old! :what: What a voice!

Is he the twat with the emo haircut?

EDIT: It gets worse, i`ve just returned home from work and i`ve got the tele on but muted. After the soapsters singing, we now have fuckin z listers on Ice ffs. I really cannot believe how low ITV have stooped.

You are allowed to switch off or over...

This egg will be scrambled and a little shaved smoke salmon added at breakfast time on 15th January

yes - but then there would be nothing to moan about..... Richard was fab - and thoroughly deserved to win - (and of course she was JC - for some reason i'd got her mixed up with thingy Jordache and was convinced JC had dark hair!! ) As for the ice skating thing - its just ITV trying to outdo Strictly come dancing. Something simslar was done a few years back wasnt it?? I'm sure I remember David Seaman on ice for a one off thing (either that or I was having some VERY odd dreams....)

If they really wanted to show something interesting, they should get a load of z-list celebs who have never been near a horse and teach them how to ride - every week they could do a different discipline - showjumping one week, dressage the next. polo the next, racing the next, etc. Now that would be funny!
