As a fan I must admit that the current series seemed to be losing touch with reality but tonight's episode was startling, enjoyed watching and laughing at some grotesque moments.

If anyone watched it, do you know what the closing music track was ... I found it haunting in context of the story.

im loving this last series. very unpredicatble, who woudl have thought hed have killed hsi nephew? plots liek that is what seperate it from another american drama to a classic series. and finally i think its just about to kick off with the new york mob, which has always bene on the cards from the first series & something ive always hoped would happen.

This series seems to be concentrating on tony's dark side more but its perhaps too out of tune with whats gone before. Is there any real reason why he should be "losing it" now?

Last episode was good but overall i think this series is not quite up to scratch, but having never missed an episode from first transmission, im going to miss it like hell

The Wire has equally fine plotting. as brilliant as the Sopranos is, its not unique in quality.

An empty feeling...

Not the way it ended...quite wonderfully done in many ways

but after 8 years...its over

ive got mixed feelings, i liked the openness but usually like a final decision of what did happen. i dont think tony would have got whacked, as the new york boys would prefer to find out whose the next boss than seeking revenge for leotardo's killing? i really hope Chase does a u-turn and decides to make another series

Gandolphini has said he doesn`t want to play Tony anymore. I liked how it all ended, it wasn`t cheesy or contrived imo.

Clivex is correct about The Wire. In many ways it is better than The Sopranos.

I liked the ending. I thought they were rushing through the last two episodes a bit and was hoping that they weren't lining everything up to crowbar in a cheesy ending. What happended was therefore pretty satisfying.
