Just a heads up to anyone that uses them that Stan James are closing. All accounts will be migrated over to unibet.

Does anyone have any gen on this Unibet outfit?

I'm not sure I want my account 'migrated' without being offered the option.

They're a big European sportsbook Dessie - they have offices in South London (Croydon/Wimbledon way).

Think it's pretty much a takeover but one that's been on the cards or at least been taking place for a couple of years - this is just the next step AFAIK.

unibet bought Stan James in 2015, and they are a pretty big outfit. Don't see many complaints about them on either the sportsbook or casino sides.

Stan James sold all their shops not long ago to Megabet. All former Stan James shops now run under Mega Bet with the same staff, offers and everything. I wonder if Unibet are anything to do with Mega Bet ?

Not from what I can see, but weirdly, megabet don't have a website according to the gaming license, yet they do. I'll have a proper look when I get home. Screenshot_20171012-133712.jpg

StanJames and Unibet, and 32Red for that matter, are all part of the Kindred Group so I guess that Megabet are as well as they are known as Megabet StanJames.

Oddschecker currently listing Unibet and StanJames prices separately and prices differ too in places

Grasshopper, I've just backed a horse at 4/1 with them for tomorrow and also 11/2 and 6/1 elsewhere. I'll let you know if they are good at paying out in the next 2/3 days as this is a cert tomorrow. See gallops message I've put up. Winter Lightning 4.45 Newmarket. It's 4/1 from 6s now, it will go off a lot lot shorter.

How soon is this likely to happen....?
I have a few decent(for my standards) Ante Post bets on Clemmie with Stan James
I'm guessing they will move over but I haven't an account with unibet, will my log in details everything just get moved over or should I sign up to Unibet now.?

Anyone know who this 'Sportpesa' mob are (they've just pitched-up on Oddschecker today)?

Ignore anything you see on oddschecker as a reliability check, Oddschecker are owned by SkyBet, all they want is your money and will promote anyone to get the referral fees. Skybet have proven themselves to be less than trustworthy more than once over the past couple of years so just check out anyone new they promote on there ;)
