Hi all;

Just some updates on Star. Here are some pics of him in action and also of my 3yo filly Princess Ling who should be running at Newbury in a 7f £10,000 all unraced Fillies Maiden or the Fred Darling at Newbury in April. Still undecided.

Star runs Wednesday ballot permitting.

Well that completes our little round up, more soon.

Nice to see photos of horses when they are not just "posing". Best of luck with them both, Chris!

Aaawwww lovely! Great to put names to faces, and they're clearly much loved at home
Looking forward to seeing Star again on Weds, and Lu Lu on the track very soon

Star misses the ballot by 1 for the 3rd time in 3 weeks, no races now until April 18th, what can you do. Rated 48 and cant get in a 0-52.

No 0-52's or 0-55's over 6f, 7f or 1m at ling, kemp or wolves until April 18th but 11 0-75 or 13 0-85 handicaps.

29 entered 26 declared and they say there is no demand for these races. The BHB need to take theior heads out their arses and scrap so many 0-75 and 0-85 hcps for £5,000 with 5 or 6 runners in and start running the races their are horses wanting to run in.

If anyone understands a ballot, someone please tell me how Zorn was ahead of us on the ballot, rated the same with shocking form figures. His particiapation means we miss out again.

Might as well enter him in a listed race, least there only be 7 runners and your get a run, whats more run well and theres another 7 days later with another 7 runners.

Last Saturday 1m 4f listed race at kempton 6 runners, 3 horses with any form. This saturday at donny 1m 4f listed race,

someone tell me why !!!!!!!!

It's more than infuriating, Chris, and I sympathise hugely having so often been in that position.
Of course most on here would rather a horse of Star's ability was retired anyway :P

I agree that those who frame the races really must take a look at the balance of the programme

PS There are also people who say we don't need Great Leighs!

Great Lieghs has better races than Lingfield, 30k sprints week in week out. Its not a small aw track, it has been designed so the Newmarket trainers can boss the all weather season.

opening fixture a listed race, 2 0-95s and a 0-80. plus 1 maiden , oh and a 0-70, and £80,000 in prize money.

Is there really any need for a 3yo 7f listed race worth 20k, the same week as the Free Handicap, Nell Gwynn, Craven, Fred Darling and Greenham Stakes.

Who the ###### designs the fixture list !!!!

Naff all wrong with Star's ability. If he could get in a bloody arce he would be on his way to a mark of 55 now.

(Goes off to study the Dundalk calendar)
