Stars So Bright (2011 filly by Sea The Stars ex Night Fairy) won the CHAMPIONS RESTAURANT AT DUNDALK STADIUM on her debut by 2¼ lengths yesterday.

My local track Dundalk, and not often you see something winning here that looks this visually impressive.

1st racecourse run and quickened away very nicely.

Very surprised at the SP of 7/1 considering the connections. I can only assume the horse was not fancied.

The winning time was: TIME 1m 38.79s (slow by 2.89s) - 1m standard.

Not being a clock watcher I've no idea if this time is any use or at least as good as the winner looked to the naked eye.

Did any of you time/clock guru's take note of the performance?

Stars So Bright beat the Fav Carla Bianca by 3 1/4 Lengths. Same horse was only 3/4 Length behind Australia and 4 1/4 Lengths behind Rizeena in 2 runs last season.

That has to be considered strong form? Not being a Flat aficionado, can anyone tell me why SSB did not run as a 2yo ?

Sectionals may tell a different story but it appeared they went quicker in the handicap and crawled in the maiden. SSB looked very much on the small/light side but turn of foot was electric ( visually anyway)

There was sneaky money late on e/w on the course. She looked a really nice filly.

Stars So Bright 3/1 runs in the 3:25 Leopardstown.

Very impressive at Dundalk on Debut.

Is the soft ground a positive or a negative considering the breeding?

Just noticed this horse runs in the next at Dundalk 7:10
Has to be backed considering last run at this track. Ground was soft on his 2nd run when disappointing.
Willing to forgive that run. Same price as last win here 7/1. I'm having a Pop.
