This weeks treat for Joshy is a visit to Stotfold Steam Fair, last weeks was kite flying on Dustable Downs, he weren't over keen on being tied on to one though!

If anyone is interested, the venue is just off the A1 at the end of the Motorway section, Junction 9 or 10.

We had a good day out Sunday, apprently the attendance was over 10,000 for the 2 days and all profits go towards the up keep of Stotfold Mill, which I believe has one of the largest "overshot" wheels still working. They actually still mill wheat there and you can buy the flour.
Josh was not impressed with the Wall Of Death though, cried his eyes out! He did laugh later when, during a game of Pooh Sticks, I slipped in the river and had to squelch around for the rest of the afternoon.
Unfortunately they don't put the Traction Engines through their paces anymore, I suppose the HSE won't allow it. I used to enjoy the Tug Of War, Ladies and Childrens Invitation races etc. but not allowed now.

Sounds super. This year, I'm determined to go the few miles out of town and take a whizz on the Bluebell Railway. There's also Shoreham Air Show, usually in September, to look forward to, as well. They did a nice bombing run a couple of years ago with a Spittie, Hurricane and naughty Messerschmidt - very nice flashes and bangs, lots of smoke, and lots of coughing afterwards!
