Just recovering after yesterday afternoon's shenanigans. Never in my wildest dreams could I foretell the demolition job that was carried out on The Villains . just like all fans, though, even at 2-0 up with a minute to go, I was worried about losing lol.
We were 2-0 up and I said to my mate "If we get a third, it's trebles all round. So there went my head haha.
Lovely to back Resplendent Grey for a victory in the Whitbread. Ok, crappy price but a worthy winner who kept handy with the pace, jumped well and stayed on up the hill.
Not a day for any major work on the horses. There is one staying race at Southwell that looks interesting for small stakes.
I'm thinking that Blazeon Five might be reasonably handicapped and worth a small shout (a holler?) in the last at Southwell. He's won first time up on a couple of occasions and certainly looks worthy of interest.
Another in the race which could well be overpriced is Postileo. Looking at his 2023 form might tempt me to have a little ew dip here, too, at the current 33/1.
