Best day of the year for us so far.

Cloudless skies, warm temperatures, all the windows and doors open to let some fresh air through the house and someone else to do the garden.

The forecast is for it to remain the same for the rest of the week. Bring it on!

One minor blip. Driving home from an errand this morning, I was planning what I'd be doing this week to make the most of the nice weather. A bit of walking, a bit of cycling, maybe a sesh or two in the sports centre. Then it dawned on me. I'm back at work tomorrow. Sh*t.

Absolutely stunning here too....got up early and brought the dog out for a walk around Punchestown racecourse...it really was blissful. Long may it last!

Hello everyone, new member here, thought I'd introduce myself on a nice positive topic, rather than jump into the middle of a contentious argument. I recognise some of the names on here from FF, where I am a relatively new member too.

Spring has finally definitely arrived here. (Co Durham) Yesterday was the first day I've worn a sleeveless top inside the house with the heating off, and lo and behold, today I could wear one outside too. It's been glorious, a good forecast for the rest of the week, and I have a job to return to tomorrow that keeps me indoors for most of the day. Oh well. It still lifts the spirits to see the sun, and the trees finally breaking into leaf too after the latest spring for donkey's years.

Lovely day here on the Wirral too, went to stables and out on a near 2hr hack , sunshine and DRY ...wonderful

Crap weekend just gone, back to work in glorious sunshine which is forecast to last util the weekend when rain reappears.

This isn't how it's supposed to happen :angy:

It's T shirt time - no more piling on jumpers, gloves, coats to go out in the dark in the mornings to start feeding/mucking out !

The bluebells are out in the woods, the horses are all in their summer coats and look fab and, apart from the latest arrival, are all out 24/7, so less ######-shovelling. Bliss !

Difficult to keep up the standard but I will be trying................

Gorgeous here on the Fylde coast. Weather permiting the salvage and scrapping of the Cleveleys shipwreck, the Riverdance, will commence this weekend.

Interestingly, the local council has said that there will be no cost to the ratepayer. Indeed, the only cost incurred to date by the council was the removal of 20 tonnes of McVities biscuits from the stricken ferry.... such priorities

Obviously, the risk mitigation plan that had identified a possible shortage of 'Hobnobs' for those critical council meetings ... meeting minutes record:

Councillor A: Can we be certain that no cost will be incurred during the salvage

Chief Councillor: I have been informed that the salvage costs will be paid in full by its owners.

Councillor B: Will there be any disruption for local people?

Chief Concillor: Our suppliers fear a local shortage of biscuits

CouncillorsC: for public safety and continuation of local government should some of the cargo be removed.

Chief C: that may mean a small fiscal adjustment

All Councillors, in unison: we must, we must.

And, hence, Hobnob biscuit crumbs continue to appear on the cuncil floor.

Hope the weather keeps fine, MR2
