Beware

I have received two copies of this email from the address secur@selectplans.com:

"Mail server report.

Our firewall determined the e-mails containing worm copies are being sent from your computer.

Nowadays it happens from many computers, because this is a new virus type (Network Worms).

Using the new bug in the Windows, these viruses infect the computer unnoticeably.
After the penetrating into the computer the virus harvests all the e-mail addresses and sends the copies of itself to these e-mail
addresses

Please install updates for worm elimination and your computer restoring.

Best regards,
Customers support service"

The email, I believe, is itself sprerading a virus. There was an attachment containing, allegedly, a fix which I did not open before I deleted the email. My virus checker picked up that there was something dodgy but the emiail got through.

I don't know how you can delete an e-mail without clicking onto it first - if I have, say, five new e-mails, and it's in the middle of them, then how can I delete it without having to click on the first, the second, and then itself as the third and hit 'Delete'?

I'm being bombarded daily by total gibberish stock market crap (they've clearly mistaken me for someone else), which Brian informs me is a way these blasted things can get past the Spamkiller. Unfortunately, the bastids keep changing their e-mail addresses, although one I send back wishing to blow them all to a thousand pieces seems to have calmed them down.

Most email accounts, including Yahoo and Hotmail have a small box next to each received mail, just check the box next to the unwanted mail and you should be able to select which ones to keep and which to delete

I've had exactly the same bombardments as Kri and LordH and dealt with them in what appears to be the appropriate manner.

Well, I've deleted them, if that's what you mean by dealing with them in 'the appropriate manner', Mr Bush?
