I’m a solid fan of Dawn Approach in a hot race. But there are four strong candidates. I expect Gregorian to show up well today at a big price.

Gregorian's sire Clodovil has a good record with his offspring at Goodwood, Cant see him playing for anything other than 4th though.

Declaration of War and Toronado to battle it out as DA is given a typical Manning Goodwood ride. No, I still haven't forgotten Lush Lashes.

They talk about efficient markets nowadays. Not a chance when hype gets in the way. 11/4 sp and over 3/1 on the machine the winner. Ridiculous. But nice.

After the guineas I didnt think DA would be beaten over a mile this season. That was great stuff. These two beasts are worth savouring. Whens the rematch?

champions day?

unless they both go for the marois or the moulin. can't think of anything else suitable.

would love to see both of them v intello

Must be musnt it. Im booking my ticket

Credit to connections too. Neither duck a challenge and bring out too much cotton wool

The continuing success of the Hannon stable without the high end patronage, is one of the great racing stories of recent times (can see some choking here) as is in many ways Bolger's peak of career at a coffin dodgers age (although he doesnt look it in fairness)

Apparently the time for the Sussex Stakes was a second faster than standard and quicker than Frankel clocked in both of his Sussex wins.

Terrific ride too from Hughes - balls of steel when he must have known that Frankie is desperate to get Sheikh Joann to give him the ride .

Toronado looks to have bloomed physically. Great scope and quickened up beautifully. Whether or not he's better than Canford Cliffs at this trip I'm not sure, but it must be close.
