Our syndicate is currently in discussion about moving our horse down south to be trained by Zoe Davison. I personally have no knowledge of this trainer so any advice or opinions would be welcome. Thank you.
It depends what you want from the syndicate really SC - do you want to be able to see the horse work regularly?
Sure for yourself at least it'd be a lot easier to get to ZD's than it is to get up to Noel Wilson's place. She generally runs her horses fairly locally (no flat runners North of Southwell and no jumps runners further than Chepstow/Uttoxeter in the past 5 seasons), they're generally big prices but tbh if possible I'd get the whole Syndicate to visit the yard and see what you all think having spoken to Zoe and the staff down there and seen the facilities. No substitute for checking it all out yourself and if you switched codes there'd be plenty of flat/speedy tracks for him to run at over hurdles
Every second horse Zoe runs goes of at 100/1 she averages about 2 winners a season and her record indicates she'd have trouble training a pig to be dirty.
If price is an issue before you chose a trainer you should learn about simple but very important things like feed, the good and the not so good and check out what any trainer you have in mind is using. Not everything that seems cheap is.
Edited this as you are looking for a southern trainer.....
