So very popular with all ages and sexes

Good, bad or ugly?

Body art or tramp stamps?

Opinions?

Obviously personal choice but I can't stand them. Can make an otherwise pretty girl look like a slapper.

There is also the issue of what they look like as you get older and the skin starts to sag a little. Can't understand why anyone gets them done.

I don't mind them at all, Don't have one myself but not to say I wouldn't ever.
And I certainly would never judge anyone for having one
One thing I will say is that tattoos that may look a bit silly can be the product of the tanked up 18yr old on holiday that is now making the 45yr old a bit embarrassed.

What about tattoos on men?

The Indian ink styles seem to be extremely popular especially with footballers.

Shaved head and an armfull of tattoos is very "in" at the moment, especially if you are losing your hair:D

Add a Staff Terrier and you are a man's man:whistle:

I have one on each upper arm but they were done over twenty years ago. I was in the civil service at the time and I was the first person in a massive office that had them. Now it's totally turned round and it's rare to see a young bloke without them.

I rate tattoos on a par with body-piercing ............. pointless and ugly. Both are intrinsically a primitive self-adornment that should have been abandoned when our distant ancestors came out of the jungle

Has anybody considered the health risks, also?
1)Breaking of the skin can lead to infection.
2)Blood-transmitted pathogens might be passed on through unsterilised needles.
3)And pigments in the ink might well be hazardous -- cases have been documented where carcinoma's and tumours have resulted.

Have nothing to do with this silly vogue, kidz !

The ratio of straps in Florida who had them, was probably over 60%. Amongst Hispanic women I saw, I'd say it was nearer 80% - I sh*t you not.

I've no issue with them, but what was once deemed a notional act of rebellion, is now so de-riguer as to remove all traces of 'cool'. It's the herd-mentality of unquestioning drones in action; or that's my take on them at any rate.

Given how prevalent they are, coupled with the lack of reported horror-stories, one imagines there's little health-risk associated with getting one.

Totally in favour of tattoos. A lot of life is wasted having to actually talk to people to work out if they are blockheads or not. Tattoos save an enormous amount of bother

Early contender for post of the month!

I was in a public toilet recently and was aware of someone squinting towards my manhood.

When I challenged him about it he said he couldn't help but notice that I had 'Amy' tattooed along its length.

I told him I had the tattoo done the night I had sex for the first time to remind me of the occasion.

"So her name was Amy?" he asked.

"No," I replied. "We were staying in a hotel in Auchtermuchty."

You won't like this then I had my left nipple pierced kept it like thst 4/5 years and was always infected, probably due to my recreational exploits.:o It got to the point where I could put the piercing anywhere through the nipple as it was so infected to join up.:eek:And I left it like that for years:Dthinking of getting the other one done now as the piercings been taken out of the left one was just to infected covered in scar tissue. My own fault due to lifestyle :ninja:and niot taking care of it.
