Tech Help Needed

How do I get rid of the Yahoo bar some download has attached to my IE toolbar. I can get rid of it by right clicking and unticking Yahoo toolbar on the menu but it just comes back next IE window I open.

Wonder if anyone can help me please?

My PC was working fine, shutdown ok last night, had a power cut during the night, tried to switch it on this morning and it wont come on. Have checked the leads and the plug fuse, there is a green light flashing underneath where the cable plugs into the back of the PC but it wont switch on.

Any ideas?

What make is your PC, Steve? When you say "where the cable plugs into the back of the PC", do you mean the power cable?

Hi Gareth, it's an HP Pavillion, yeah the LED under the power cable is green but flashing.

Could be that the Power Supply Unit was damaged, possibly due to a power surge related to the power cut you had.

Thanks Gareth, been through that lot and seems likely that some damage has been done to the motherboard due to the power outage.
