Tech Help: Networking

Hoping someone can help me. Recently moved into a new flat with broadband networking etc but having trouble setting it up on my Windows XP machine.

Gone through the various stages, connected the ethanet cable but it always goes to the "set up a new network" type option instead of the connect to a current one which is what I want to do.

I think you still have to set up a new network, as the network is not set up on your computer

I believe you do, as it will be different ip's and such.

Thanks All. Need the network set up name etc off my landlords rep so think that's where i'm going wrong.
