I grew up in the 60's and I remember talking with my Mum in my 20's, when 'stories' like this did the rounds, but she believed that the perpetrators would never be brought to book because this 'world' permeated the highest echelons of society, including the police and the judiciary.
How right she was, though I'm not sure she could have imagined the extent of this 'world', and now although these people are no longer the 'untouchables', the resources set aside to investigate after all these years are further insult to the long suffering victims.
