Good ploy to make a packet on the horse or is there some truth in this from the Guardian today....know anything about the horse Martin?

TELESKY BETTER THAN KAUTO?

A new star could have been on show at Enghein racecourse in France on Wednesday. The three-year-old Telesky was an impressive hurdle winner and he boasts some impeccable human connections. He is trained by Serge Foucher, who looked after Kauto Star, below, in the early years of his career, and was – like last weekend's Grand National winner Mon Mome – bred by Alexandre Deschere. Foucher is in no doubt that this impressive hurdle winner is going to be very good. "I think he's even better than Kauto Star at this stage," said the trainer.

Our neighbour is Henri Aubert, who bred Kauto Star in the field next to Mon Mome. Both are 9yo now.

Makes Arkle and Flyingbolt being from the same stable seem unremarkable :D

Didn't see the race but read about it on Spoons site - would think connections will go for the bigger races at Auteuil now if they really do have ambitions of being as good as Kauto.

Worth bearing in mind that Kauto was regularly beaten in France - his record was 4 wins in 10 starts though he did win the same race as Telesky 6 years ago so being better than Kauto at this stage wouldn't mean too much. Would imagine he'd take the same route as Kauto though with the 3yo Hurdle races culminating in the Cambreceres in November (incidentally sponsored by the Racing Post and won this year by the soon to be UK campaigned Long Run).
