Well it's been a poor few days betting wise. I usually hit back though. Haydock's always been a kinder track to me than York.
I'm wondering what the lads think of the French challenger Bakoel Koffie. He'll probably be undervalued in the betting market, but I reckon he can find an extra stone on firm ground, having been a much improved horse on better going this season (clearly flattering to deceive) on heavy going the last day.
If they send him over, (he holds a Kings Stand entry too), he will out run his odds. He was actually bred and is now owned by the same person, Berend Van Daffson, which is very rare in this day and age.
On that point, the Magnier's gifted Khalid Abdullah the Galileo colt Frankel. A token gesture that surely cost them millions. Then again, it's not like they ever needed the money in the first place. From a business point of view, Khalid Abdullah is one of their own...from the same cloth.
