Texas Holdem

I can't remember the name of the site, and I'm blocked from looking at it here, something like pokerprofessor.com. If you search for "poker professor Titan" you'll get it. It has tutorials and explanations and bits of strategy. Nothing mind blowing that you wouldn't pick up from a few days playing, but nicely packaged.

They have a test at the end of the lessons and when you pass it you get a free, no deposit, €50 for Titan Poker (a couple of days later - a bit of messing with Text messages and registering but it only takes a few minutes). I lost my €50 in double-quick time so I can't tell you if there are problems withdrawing it.

Gal, don't have it here but on laptop at home have a good link to starting hand positions. You put your two cards in and tells you where you stand. Will post up at tea time when home.

Possibly one of the best ways of learning is playing. I know the basic rules are essential first, but an inexpensive way of learning the basics etc is to play some sit and go tournaments on some of the sites. Betfair have their poker site, and i know they go as low as 2.75 dollars for entry into a tournament, maybe 6 or9 participants, and its a good way of gettin used to it before you begin playing at whatever staking level you would normally. Just a suggestion.

Tonight at 8.05pm Full Tilt celebrate their 5th birthday with an attempt to break the World Record for most players in a single tournament when 50,000 take part in a $5 buy-in event. I'm in, any other TH's involved?

On holidays and in a huff with Full Tilt about their cheque withdrawal procedures, or I would have been!

How many did they end up getting and how did you get on?
